Leadership & Administration

Geoff Klep
Principal
I really enjoy being able to come to work each day at St. Patrick’s. I feel privileged to be able to lead this community on a journey of continual growth and improvement. I feel blessed to work alongside such a professional, hard working and committed staff, a fantastically supportive parent community and wonderful students who make our school such a great place to be part of. When I’m not at school I enjoy 4WDing, camping, football and spending time with my family and friends.

Beth Johnson
Deputy Principal and Learning and Teaching Leader
It is a privilege to teach at St Patrick’s and be part of this welcoming community. I love learning and teaching and it is an honour to be an important part of our future generations! Outside of school I love to be on adventures with my family and friends.

Karon Whitfield
Administration/Finance Officer
I have worked for St. Patrick’s School for 11 years. Our school has a dedicated team whom are wonderful to work with. Our students show compassion and support for one another. It just has a fabulous community. When I’m not at school I love to travel and see Australia.

Kristie Fox
Administration
I love interacting with the beautiful students and their families; supporting them however they need. I really enjoy the busy nature of the school environment and the variety it offers.
Outside of work I have 4 school aged children who keep me busy with their active sport and social lives.

Josie Papaluca-Witte
Literacy Leader/Reading Recovery Teacher
My passion is making sure that children are given every opportunity to become successful learners. I love being a part of this warm community, as well as my one on one time with Reading Recovery students – seeing their progress has always been a special part of my role.

Sue Walker
Prep Classroom Teacher, Numeracy Leader & Info Tech Leader
As Numeracy Leader, I love seeing all our students develop their Maths skills, take risks, challenge themselves and try new strategies, and grow in confidence as mathematicians. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, walking and overseas travel with family and friends.

Sarah Graves
Prep Classroom Teacher & Student Wellbeing Leader
St. Patrick’s has a great community atmosphere.
As a Prep teacher, I enjoy helping the students and their families build relationships and guiding my students to become lifelong, resilient learners.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family and curling up with a good book.

Molly McKinnon
Prep Classroom Teacher
St Patrick’s is a wonderful place to be a teacher and I enjoy watching the students learn, particularly in Prep where the students grow and develop so much in their first year at school. Outside of school, I enjoy going to the football to watch the mighty Hawks win!

I feel incredibly privileged to be a part of the St Patrick’s community. I love getting to know my students and how they learn best. I enjoy creating engaging learning opportunities within which everyone can thrive. The Arts and nature are what inspires me the most in life.

I love how St Patrick’s school constantly tries to improve itself and offer the best education it can to all our students. I also appreciate the opportunities to learn new teaching approaches and the use of new resources. In my free time i enjoy catching up with family and friends.

I am a Year One/Two classroom teacher and have been an educator for many years. I feel that Our school is an amazing community filled with enthusiastic students, supportive parents and staff. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, going for walks and holidays to the beach.

My name is Nicole and I am thrilled to be part of the St Patrick’s 3/4 team. I have always heard positive things about the school and have found it to be a welcoming environment. I barrack for Carlton, live with my 3 cats, and am an avid tea collector.

Benjamin Thorn

Everyone is so welcoming here. I love the positive learning environment created by both the students and staff to enable everyone to find success. The school is diligent to support every student with social and emotional wellbeing.
I love sport especially footy (go pies), reading and my two dogs.

I am new to St. Patricks in 2020. It is just a welcoming school community and an amazing environment to work in. The students are motivated and lovely to work with. I look forward to further involving myself in the community and growing at St. Patrick’s.

I love building rich and meaningful relationships with students and their families as this is a great way to create a supportive and encouraging learning community. I am passionate about learning being engaging and productive and want everyone to leave my class feeling valued, proud of their growth and curious.

I have been a teacher for six years. I love working with the senior students to explore concepts in depth and investigate global issues in order to create change. I am a lover of health and well-being and enjoy relaxing in the sunshine with family and friends.

Rachael Asbury
Library Technician
I am very fortunate to get a sneak preview of all the new books going into the library. I love being able to assist students in finding a book that takes their interest.
In my spare time I love to read, sew, get creative and cook.

Casey Deckert
Physical Education Teacher
I am fortunate in my role to teach every student in the school and to watch them grow and thrive throughout their years with us at St Patrick’s. I enjoy spending time with my family at the beach, on long walks and watching my children play their many sports.

St Patrick’s is a wonderful school community! I love working with the staff to develop enriching learning experiences for our students. I enjoy working with the children and watching them grow and learn throughout the year. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, camping and the outdoors.

I love the community feel here at St Patrick’s. I enjoy teaching the Visual Arts program across the school and seeing all the differernt ways the students can be creative! When I’m not teaching I enjoy doing dyi projects around the house and spending time outdoors with my family.

I love being part of the welcoming and supportive community at St. Patrick’s. I enjoy working with individuals and groups of students supporting their learning needs.
Outside of school, I craft using a few different mediums and have been involved in several local and overseas projects.

I enjoy working with children in small groups and one on one across all year levels and watching them grow and thrive as they progress through the years.

I am lucky that I get to work with a wide range of students across all year levels, helping them reach their full potential. I enjoy spending my time with my family especially in cricket season.

Katrina Bowers

I love teaching in our small, Catholic community where we know and care about each other. St Patrick’s offers a range of learning experiences where everyone is encouraged to reach their full potential. I live locally with my husband, have two adult boys and love to holiday at Venus Bay.

I love the relationship I share with both the students and staff at Saint Pats, this makes for a very enjoyable job. Outside of school I love to spend my time listening to music, gardening or getting away to either the beach or the mountains.

My position as a Learning Support Officer, allows me to build positive relationships with all students; whilst supporting their individual needs.
