Social & Emotional Learning
Building Resilience and Wellbeing Through Social and Emotional Learning
SEL fosters resilience, emotional management, relationships, optimism, courage, and personal growth.
Social & Emotional Learning
At St Patrick’s, we understand that Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is essential for helping students develop the resilience and life skills they need to thrive—both in and beyond the classroom. SEL supports students in managing their emotions and behaviour, building strong relationships, and approaching challenges with confidence.
Social and emotional skills also play a critical role in preventing mental health issues and promoting overall wellbeing. Children who are socially and emotionally competent are better equipped to manage themselves, relate positively to others, resolve conflict, and feel a sense of optimism and self-worth.
As part of our commitment to student wellbeing, we implement the Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) program. These evidence-based learning materials are designed to help students develop respectful relationships, emotional awareness and effective coping strategies.
Supporting All Students
For learning to take place we need to ensure that every child feels safe, happy and confident within themselves - and so a huge emphasis is placed on a strong wellbeing and support program that achieves just that!
Every Child Matters
Our entire teaching staff is dedicated to the detail and we want to ensure every child achieves to their own potential.
Isn't it time we got to know each other?
